YORK, Pa. - York College senior defenseman
Colin Kane has been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week as announced by the organization on Wednesday, February 18.
Kane had a big day on the defensive end for the Spartans with career-highs in caused turnovers (4) and ground balls (5) to lead No. 12 York to a 10-8 opening-day victory over No. 10 Washington and Lee. Kane's performance highlighted an outstanding collective defensive effort by the Green and White as they held the Generals to single-digit goals for the first time since 2024 and under 30 shots for the first time since 2022.
The Spartan senior was also tabbed the MAC Commonwealth Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for his outstanding season-opening performance.
