NEWTOWN, Pa. - York College senior defenseman
Colin Kane has been named the MAC Commonwealth Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending February 15 as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Kane posted career highs with four caused turnovers and five ground balls to lead a sturdy defensive effort by the 12th-ranked Spartans in a 10-8 win over No. 10 Washington and Lee. The Spartans held the Generals to under 10 goals and under 30 shots on the day, two things no defense could accomplish last season against W&L. The last time the Generals were limited to single-digit goals was April 27, 2024 when they also scored eight in a 12-8 loss at Christopher Newport.
