YORK, PA - York College sophomore goalie Joss Metz has been named the MAC Commonwealth Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning. 

Metz powered the York College women's soccer team to a pair of wins including an upset win over #16 Misericordia on the road on Wednesday. 

Metz began her week with four saves and one goal allowed in the surprise win over Misericordia. Metz had the save of the game with 10 seconds left in the game as she saved a Brenna Field penalty kick to secure the victory for York. 

In the shutout win over Eastern on Saturday, Metz was forced to make just one save in notching her second full shutout of the year. 

For the year, Metz owns a 0.66 goals against average and a .783 save percentage. She owns a record of 7-2 in nine starts for the Green and White.
