Meg Kalthof has been named the MAC Commonwealth Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league on Tuesday.
Kalthof continued her scoring streak this week as she scored all of York's three goals in their two wins.
York began the week with a 2-1 upset of #16 Misericordia on the road in Dallas on Wednesday. Kalthof tied the game in the 83rd minute off an assist from
Abby Brown. Kalthof then recorded the game-winning goal with 1:57 left in regulation to give York the sudden victory.
Kalthof kept it rolling on Saturday as she scored the game's lone goal in the 1-0 victory over Eastern. Kalthof found the back of the cage in the 86th minute to lift York to their fifth straight win.
Kalthof now has 25 points on 11 goals and three assists in her 15 games. She has scored five goals in the Spartans' last three matches. Kalthof leads the MAC Commonwealth in goals scored while she also leads the league in game-winning goals (4) and points per game (1.67 ppg).
