Box Score LYNCHBURG, VA – The York College baseball team fell to Lynchburg College 11-3 in the third game of a weekend set in Lynchburg, Virginia on Sunday afternoon. The Spartans fall to 0-3 to start their seven-game spring trip.

How It Happened
• The Spartans jumped on top in the top of the first. Jimmy Wiegers reached on an error to start the frame. He moved to second on a ground out and scored on a Jack Barry RBI single to left field.
• The Hornets answered with a two-spot in the bottom of the second as Avery Combs blasted a two-run bomb, giving Lynchburg a lead they wouldn't relinquish.
• Lynchburg pushed their lead to 6-1 with a four-run fourth inning. Brian Sheeder had a two-run single to right while Shawn Allen added an RBI single. Garrett Jackson finished off the inning when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
• The Hornets made it 7-1 in the fifth and then put the game away with another four spot in the seventh.
• York got a pair of runs in the ninth to close out the scoring. Justin Kilpatrick ripped a two-run double to right center to provide the Spartans with their final two runs.
