How it Happened:
• The Spartans, riding a six-game win streak, were determined to start fast on Saturday following Senior Day festivities. Caitlin Rankin scored in the first 36 seconds, and then Meghan Fox added another before the first minute was completed. York would go on to score 10 goals in the first 10 minutes of the game, by seven different scorers. Rachel Saks, a senior, scored three in that first 10-minute stretch, while Fox also scored a second. Katie Owens, a senior defender, scored her first goal of the season, and just the second of her career. She joined fellow senior defender Erin Mensch on the score sheet, who notched her first career goal. Other seniors Kelly Curran, Jordan Cassella and Katelyn Cattrano also buried chances in the first half. Jordan Conley and Hayley McCormick also scored to lead York into the break with a 13-1 lead. Zoe Bradshaw, of Southern Virginia, scored on a free-position attempt for the Knights, her 40th goal of the season.

• Mensch and Owens both scored in the first 15 minutes of the second half to double their totals for the season. For much of the game, York was able to win the draws and then control the ball in the offensive end. Curran added her second and the 16th goal for the Spartans before Mensch and Owens each notched their third.
