Spartan Women Dominate at Ursinus Duals

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The York women's wrestling team posted a record of 3-1 in four matches at the Ursinus Duals on Sunday.

Highlights
The Spartans began the day with a 38-5 victory over New England College, followed by a 38-10 triumph over Arcadia, a 41-5 victory over McDaniel and ended the day with a 26-21 setback to East Stroudsburg.

Daisey Hawkins put together a spectacular performance as she went 4-0 on the day and accounted for 19 team points with three falls and bumped up a weight class to record a technical fall.

Maura White went 4-0 on the day and led the way for York with 20 team points as she posted a pair of falls in a total of 85 seconds and won two matches via forfeit.

Allison Brandt posted a 4-0 record and accumulated 19 team points on a fall, a technical fall and two wins via forfeit.

Peyton Fries also went 4-0 and totaled 19 team points with a fall, a technical fall and two wins via forfeit.

Kallie Bower and Kylie Monroe both went 3-1 on the day. Bower compiled two falls and a win by forfeit, while Monroe won by fall, decision and forfeit.
