Patzke Named MAC Women's Wrestling Senior Scholar-Athlete

NEWTOWN, Pa. - York College wrestler Rebekah Patzke has been tabbed the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Women's Swimming Senior Scholar-Athlete as the conference announced their 2025-26 Winter MAC Senior Scholar-Athletes on Friday.

The MAC recognizes a senior student-athlete from each of the 10 winter sports (men's and women's basketball, men's and women's ice hockey, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's indoor track & field, and men's and women's wrestling) for their strong academic and athletic prowess.

Patzke has been a vital part of the York College women's wrestling program's rapid rise, most recently helping lead the Spartans to the inaugural MAC Women's Wrestling Conference Team Championship in 2026. A seasoned postseason competitor, Patzke is a two-time Regional Performer who earned her spot on the podium as a Regional Placewinner, finishing sixth in a highly competitive field. Known for her tenacity on the mat, she has been a consistent presence in the Spartan lineup, contributing key victories to the team's dual and tournament success over her career.

Off the mat, Patzke is a Therapeutic Recreation major who has defined herself through elite academic consistency. She is a three-time NWCA Scholar All-American, a distinction reserved for the nation's top-performing student-athletes in the classroom. Her academic resume is further bolstered by six appearances on the Dean's List. Patzke's commitment to her studies in recreational therapy mirrors her disciplined approach to athletics, making her a standout representative of the York College athletic department.

Patzke holds the distinction of being the inaugural recipient of the MAC Women's Wrestling Senior Scholar-Athlete award.
