Bower, Brandt, Lavalle Honored on Women's Wrestling Academic All-MAC Squad

NEWTOWN, Pa. - A trio of York College women's wrestlers - Kallie Bower, Allison Brandt and Emma Lavalle - earned spots on the 2026 Women's Wrestling Academic All-MAC Team as announced by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office on Friday. Bower, Brandt and Lavalle were three of 10 student-athletes recognized on the team.

The Winter Academic All-MAC teams recognize the top student-athletes both in the classroom and in athletic competition during the 2026 spring semester. The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote on the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight on both academic success and athletic success. A student-athlete must have a spring semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher to be eligible for the award.

Bower, an accounting major, posted a perfect 4.0 GPA in the spring and owns an unblemished 4.0 cumulative average. On the mat this past season, the rookie compiled an overall record of 18-13 and captured a MAC silver medal at 124 lbs. at the MAC Women's Wrestling Championship.

Brandt posted a 3.62 GPA this past spring while excelling in the classroom as a premedical sciences major. The junior put together another strong campaign on the mat as she went 22-10 overall and captured a gold medal at 180 lbs. to help lead the Spartans to the team title at the inaugural MAC Women's Wrestling Championship.

Lavalle qualified academically for the award with a 3.37 spring semester GPA and owns a cumulative average of 3.63 as a mechanical engineering major. The junior nabbed a MAC silver medal at 207 lbs. while posting a 13-12 overall record on the season.
