YORK, PA – The York College women's swim team concluded a successful stay at the 2025 MAC Championships as they placed fifth at the four-day championships.
In addition to the Spartans' team finish, junior
Isabella Klemm was named the MAC Women's Swimmer of the Year.
The Spartans totaled 700 points for the championships. Stevens won the team title with 1,644.5 points while Messiah finished second with 1,161 points. Misericordia (1,100 points) placed third while Widener (999.5 points) was fourth.
Klemm capped a fantastic weekend with her third win on Sunday as she captured the 200 breaststroke title. Klemm is the first Spartan women's swimmer to win a conference Swimmer of the Year award. She won the 200 IM in school record time, the 100 breaststroke in conference record time and the 200 breaststroke in school record time.
In addition to her three individual wins, she earned a silver as a part of the 400 medley relay team and a bronze in the 800 relay race.
First-year Spartan
Annika Doutrich concluded her first championship with bronze in the 1650 free with a time of 18:06.90. Doutrich completed the weekend with silvers in the 500 and 200 free races. Doutrich was also part of the runner-up 400 medley relay team and third place 800 free relay team.
The 400 free relay team consisting of
Annie Custis,
Camden Perella, Doutrich and Klemm placed fourth with a time of 3:39.07. Custis was York's final A swimmer on Sunday as she placed seventh in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:12.89.
Senior
Kendra Winkleblech finished tenth in the 1650 free while Perella placed 12
th in the 100 free. Â
