Klemm Lowers 100 Fly Record at NCAA Nationals

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - York College senior Isabella Klemm opened her stint at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships by competing in the 100 butterfly on Thursday.

Klemm lowered the 100 butterfly school record with a time of 58.06 in the prelims to finish 48th out of 49 finishers. The previous school record time of 58.66 was set by Jenna Hufnagle and has stood since February 24, 2018.

The two-time national qualifier will return to the pool on Friday for her primary event, the 100 breaststroke. Klemm enters the meet with the ninth-fastest time in the country at a pace of 1:02.42. She will look to improve on her 18th-place finish at last year's championship meet and aim at a top-eight finish to clinch first team All-America status.

Friday's preliminary sessions will start at 11 a.m. with the evening finals session set for 6 p.m. at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind.
