GLEN ALLEN, VA – The York College women's golf team concluded their stay at the Max and Susan Stith Invitational at the Dominion Club in Glen Allen, Virginia.
The Spartans finished 13 of 15 teams at the loaded field. The Spartans shot a two-day total of 666. York had a team score of 331 in the first round and followed that with a team score of 335.
Carnegie Mellon won the team title by nine strokes, finishing with a team total of 589. Emory was second at 598 while Washington & Lee was a distant third at 619. Methodist finished fourth at 621 while Adrian rounded out the top five with a score of 627.
Sophomore
Grace Strickland was York's top finisher as she placed 50
th in the 75-player field. Strickland shot 85 on Monday with a 46 on the front and a much better 39 on the back. She made a five stroke improvement on Tuesday with an 80. She shot 43 on the front and a 37 on the back.

Jess Shay was one stroke back of Strickland as she carded a two-day total of 166. Shay shot an 80 on Monday as she had a 42 on the front and a 38 on the back. Shay finished with an 86 on Tuesday as she shot 46 on the front nine and 40 on the back.

Tori Blanc was York's third finisher as she tied for 56
th with a combined score of 168. Blanc shot 83 on Monday with a 39 on the front and a 44 on the back. Blanc fired an 85 on Tuesday with a 41 on the front and another 44 on the back.
First year Spartan
Victoria Jolakian concluded her tournament in a tie for 59
th place. She shot a 40 on Monday's front side and a 47 on the back nine for an 87. Jolakian shaved three strokes off that total on Tuesday with an 83 as she carded a 42 on the front and a 42 on the back.

Lily Davis rounded out the Spartan tournament participants as she tied for 62
nd with a tournament score of 172. Davis shot 83 on Monday but then had an 89 on Tuesday. Davis shot 39 and 44 on Monday and 41 and 48 on Tuesday.
The Spartans return to action on Saturday when they head to Golden Oaks Country Club to participate in the MAC Preview Tournament hosted by Albright College. The one day tournament kicks off at noon on Saturday.
