HERSHEY, PA – The York College women's golf team finished second of seven teams at the one-day Elizabethtown Fall Invite on Tuesday in Hershey, PA.
The Spartans shot a team score of 318 at Hershey Country Club East. The Spartans finished nine strokes back of team champion Alvernia as the Golden Wolves posted a team score of 309. Drew finished third at 366 followed by Scranton (374) and Lebanon Valley (394) to round out the top five.
The Spartans had their four scorers place in the top seven but it wasn't enough to overcome Alvernia's Cassidy Miksich who fired a career-best two-under-par 69, eight strokes clear of second.

Grace Strickland was York's top finisher as she shot 77 to tie for second with McKylie Boreman. Fellow sophomore
Tori Blanc finished fourth as she fired a 79 for the round.

Jessica Shay played her first round of the year and shot a nine-over 80, one stroke over her career best round. Freshman
Victoria Jolakian rounded out the Spartan top four as she shot an 11-over-par 82 to finish tied for seventh.

Lily Davis was York's fifth tournament participant as she placed 13
th with an 89.
The Spartans return to action on Saturday, September 23 when they head to the Williams Invitational at Taconic Golf Club. The action kicks off Saturday at noon.
