Spartans Compete in Inaugural Home Dual

YORK, Pa. - The York women's wrestling team competed in the program's first-ever dual and home event Wednesday night as they took on Delaware Valley inside M&T Bank Field House. The Aggies spoiled York's historic evening as they prevailed 37-9 after winning eight of 10 bouts.

How It Happened
  • Chloe Gross put York on the board first and notched the first-ever dual meet victory in program history as she received a forfeit at 101.
  • Faith Warner made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans with her 9-6 victory at 109. After clinging to a 3-2 lead after the first period, Warner scored six second-period points to seal victory and her first-career dual win.
  • The Aggies ripped off eight-straight wins to finish the dual. Naylee Ierley scored the only team point for the Spartans in the final eight matches as Delaware Valley out-scored the Spartans 36-1 to finish the match.
