Box Score YORK, Pa. – The #7 Spartans saw their comeback effort come up just short as they fell, 10-9, in double overtime to #7 Franklin & Marshall Wednesday night at Kinsley Field. York rallied all the way back from a six-goal deficit to the tie the game with less than five minutes to play in regulation.

How It Happened
• The first half belonged to the Diplomats as F&M out-shot the Spartans, 22-9, and owned a 7-4 advantage on the draw. The Spartans and Dips traded goals in the opening minutes, but F&M ripped off six unanswered goals to take a 7-1 lead with 14:26 left to play in the half.
• York managed to end the F&M run as Madison Marciniak set up Meghan Fox for a tally with 11:37 left in the first half. Chloe MacDonald cut the deficit to four heading into halftime as she tallied an unassisted goal late in the half. Riley DiFiore also helped shift some of the momentum to York's side as she stopped the last eight shots F&M put on goal to end the half.
• The Spartans gained even more momentum as they opened the second half with thee unanswered goals, extending their run to five-straight tallies, as they trailed 7-6 with 18:42 left in regulation. York and F&M went back-and-forth over the next 12 minutes before Devin Hursey set up Jenna Cholowinski for the equalizer with 4:22 left in regulation.
• York had scoring opportunities in the first overtime period as the Spartans won both draw controls, but managed to only put one of their shots on goal. York won the opening draw to start the second overtime period, but turned it over on the opening possession. DiFiore kept York alive with a pair of saves early in the second overtime, including one on a free-position shot.
• Following a Spartan missed shot with 1:15 left in the second overtime, F&M picked up the ground ball and transitioned down the field where Maddy Birch found Megan Jackson in an open shooting lane where she buried the game-winner with 0:49 left on the clock.
