How It Happened
• Savannah Zittle opened the game with a leadoff single to left field, and she was moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Shyla Pastore. Back-to-back walks from Haley Hirn and Joanna Marmo loaded the bases with one out for Ashley Meekins. Meekins lofted a sac fly to center field for the second out, but it allowed Zittle to score from third to take the early 1-0 lead.
• Hirn worked another walk in the top of the third inning, and once again York used a sacrifice bunt to move a leadoff runner to second. Marmo was the one to lay it down to setup Meekins again with a shot for an RBI. She came through, whipping a double to right center, scoring Hirn. Meekins went to third on a fly out from Ashley Werner and then scored after Julie Van O'Linda reached on an error to make it 3-0.
• With one out, Marmo singled to left center and then Meekins promptly whacked a homer over the fence in left center to bring her RBI total up to four on the afternoon. The 5-0 lead was plenty large enough for Ginger Lewis, who kept the Lions scoreless, allowing just six hits for her 11th win of the season.

How It Happened
• After being shutout in the first game of the doubleheader, Albright started well in the nightcap. In the bottom of the first inning, consecutive singles led to a three-run home run for Camille Sears, giving the Lions a 3-0 lead. Melissa Jurkiewicz was able to settle down then, and force three outs without suffering any more damage.
• The Spartans had an immediate response in the top of the second inning. Joanna Marmo led off with a single, followed by another hit from Ashley Meekins. Ashley Werner worked a walk to load the bases still without any outs. Julie Van O'Linda knocked a sac fly to center field to score Marmo to make it 3-1. Eryn Bailey scored Meekins on a fielder's choice, halving the deficit, at 3-2. A pair of consecutive groundouts ended the inning, but York was back in the game.
• In the top of the sixth, the Spartans threatened again after Savannah Galati singled up the middle. Bailey pinch ran for her and advanced to second on a wild pitch. With two outs, though, Albright earned the final out, ending the inning and preserving its one-run lead.
• The Lions held York scoreless in the final inning, taking the second game of the doubleheader, 3-2.
