How It Happened
• The Spartans wasted little time in snapping their 28 inning home scoreless streak. Savannah Zittle singled up the middle to open the first inning. She was sacrificed to second and scored on a Joanna Marmo RBI single to right center.
• York made it 2-0 in the second as Ashley Werner opened the inning with a single up the middle. She moved to second on a sacrifice bunt but then was caught trying to go to third on a ground ball to short. That looked like it may have short circuited the uprising but Quinn Fisher moved Julie Van O'Linda to second with a single. Zittle then plated Van O'Linda with a single to right field.
• York tacked on two more runs in the fourth as freshman Kara Hanson blasted a solo home run off the scoreboard in left to open the inning. Zittle then singled and rode home on a Katie Maloney triple to right center as York's lead grew to 4-0.
• York pushed the lead to 7-0 with a three-run fifth inning. The frame started with back-to-back hit batters. An Eastern error on a Werner sacrifice bunt attempt, scored a run and put Spartans at second and third base with no outs. Hanson plated a second run with an RBI ground out. Van O'Linda closed out the scoring in the inning with single to right.
• York ended the game in the bottom of the sixth as Maloney singled to center to start the inning. After a fly out to left, Maloney stole second and scored on a Carleigh Ruleman double to right center as York finished with an 8-0 victory.

How It Happened
• Eastern got on the board first with a single run in the top of the first. Alyssa Bolger doubled to left center on the first pitch of the game. She moved to third on a sacrifice bunt and scored on a Grace Gonzalez single down the first base line. Gonzalez would eventually get picked off to end the inning.
• York answered in the bottom of the first inning as Joanna Marmo reached on a two out error. Carleigh Ruleman made the Eagles pay for the miscue with a mammoth two run shot well over the scoreboard to put the Spartans up 2-0. Haley Hirn followed with a home run of her own off the bracing of the scoreboard but the ball rebounded back into the playing field and it was ruled that the ball bounced off the top of the fence so Hirn was held at second with a double. She would not score as the Eagles got out of the inning with a ground out to end the frame.
• York made it 3-1 in the third as Savannah Zittle singled, moved to second on a sac bunt and scored on a Ruleman single to left.
• The Eagles tacked on a single run in the top of the fourth on three hits but Spartan starter Melissa Jurkiewicz was able to minimize the damage as she left a pair of runners stranded to keep the Spartan lead intact.
• York pushed the lead to 4-2 in the fifth as Zittle scored on an Eastern error.
• The Green and White blew the game open in the sixth with a four run inning. The frame started innocently as Eastern got the first two outs of the inning. Julie Van O'Linda then tripled to right center. She scored when Quinn Fisher doubled to deep center to plate Van O'Linda. The Spartans then loaded the bases and Joanna Marmo tripled to right field to clear the bases and give York the 8-2 lead.
• The Eagles closed out the scoring with an RBI ground out to provide for the final five run Spartan margin of victory.
