York College women's volleyball senior Liz Kerin has been named the Spartan Athlete of the Week presented by WellSpan Health for the week ending October 4.

Kerin powered the Spartans to a 2-1 record last week, including a dramatic 3-2 triumph over Stevenson for a big Commonwealth win. The senior led the team in kills (11), aces (4) and blocks (3) in the reverse sweep victory over the Mustangs last Tuesday and capped off the week with a career-high 19 kills in a 3-2 win over Ramapo. For the week, Kerin hit .403 and led York with 35 kills, 2.69 kills/set, eight aces and 10 total blocks.

Kerin and the Spartans will return to the court on Wednesday night for a non-conference tilt at Penn State York at 7 p.m.
