York College Athletic Department Reveals 2025-26 DeMeester Awards

YORK, Pa. – The York College Athletic Department announced their William DeMeester Academic Awards for the 2025-26 academic year as final grades have been processed and posted for the spring semester.

The DeMeester Awards recognize the male and female four-year student-athletes who have the highest cumulative GPA for their careers, in addition to acknowledging the teams with the highest GPA during the current academic year.

Men's Individual Award
Eric Chaney - 3.96 - Chemistry Major - Baseball

Women's Individual Award
Katie Jeanes - 4.00 - Graphic Design Major - Women's Lacrosse
Lily Morton - 4.00 - Nuclear Medicine - Women's Volleyball

Team Awards
Men's Lacrosse - 3.48
Women's Golf - 3.77

The men's lacrosse team captured the men's team award for the third-straight season, edging out men's golf (3.41) and men's soccer (3.39) to claim the title. Women's golf claimed the title after finishing second last year and beat out field hockey (3.68) and softball (3.60) in the top-three.

30 Spartan student-athletes posted a 4.0 GPA for the year and 82% of all student-athletes posted a GPA of 3.0 or higher in 2025-26.

In addition to the classroom success, the Spartans won five conference team titles with women's wrestling capturing the inaugural Middle Atlantic Conference title in the winter season with men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, men's golf and women's golf all clinching conference crowns in the spring. Additionally, a grand total of 12 student-athletes earned All-America honors in the sports of women's swimming, women's indoor track and field, men's wrestling, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, men's outdoor track and field, and baseball.
