NEWTOWN, Pa. - York College senior golfer
Jacob Fripp has been tabbed the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Men's Golf Senior Scholar-Athlete as the conference announced their 2025-26 Spring MAC Senior Scholar-Athletes on Friday.
The MAC recognizes a senior student-athlete from each of the each of the 11 spring sports (baseball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's outdoor track & field, and men's volleyball) were recognized for their strong academic and athletic prowess.
Fripp has been a driving force behind the Spartans' rise to regional prominence, leading York College to two Commonwealth team titles and two subsequent NCAA Championship appearances. He reached the pinnacle of individual success as the conference Player of the Year and individual champion, outlasting the field to claim the gold. His elite play on the links earned him GCAA/PING All-Region honors and a selection to the All-Conference First Team, cementing his status as one of the premier golfers in the mid-atlantic.
In the classroom, Fripp is a Political Science major who has matched his athletic precision with academic excellence. A six-time Dean's List member, he has been recognized for his scholastic achievements as a CSC Academic All-District honoree and a member of the Academic All-MAC team. Fripp's ability to maintain a high level of academic performance while competing on the national stage exemplifies the leadership and discipline he has brought to the York program over the last four years.
Fripp is the first Spartan male golfer to earn this prestigious honor.
