NEWTOWN, Pa. - York College senior Isabella Klemm has been tabbed the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Women's Swimming Senior Scholar-Athlete as the conference announced their 2025-26 Winter MAC Senior Scholar-Athletes on Friday.

The MAC recognizes a senior student-athlete from each of the 10 winter sports (men's and women's basketball, men's and women's ice hockey, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's indoor track & field, and men's and women's wrestling) for their strong academic and athletic prowess.

Klemm has established herself as one of the most elite competitors in the nation, recently earning First Team NCAA All-American honors with a prestigious sixth-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke at the NCAA Championships. A two-time MAC Swimmer of the Year, Klemm's dominance is reflected in her seven individual MAC titles and her status as a 14-time MAC medalist. She currently stands as the Conference Record Holder in the 100 breaststroke and holds multiple school records, marking a career defined by record-breaking performances and postseason excellence. 

Outside of the pool, Klemm is a Healthcare Administration major who has balanced a rigorous clinical interest with her athletic pursuits. A two-time Academic All-MAC selection and four-time Dean's List member, her leadership extends deep into the community. She has volunteered at six different hospitals and spent time teaching lifesaving swimming skills to children with the Bethesda Mission. Additionally, Klemm was the driving force behind the program's upcoming international mission trip to Thailand, advocating for the service opportunity that the team will embark on next year.

Klemm is the first York College female swimmer to earn the prestigious MAC Senior Scholar-Athlete award.
