YORK, Pa. - Spartan junior forward
Meg Kalthof has been named the Commonwealth Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 7 as announced by the Middle Atlantic Conference on Tuesday.
Kalthof scored in both of York's victories to lead the Spartans to a 3-1 record through the first two weeks of the season. She netted the game-winner in the 80th minute against Gettysburg last Wednesday and then added an insurance goal in a big 2-0 road win over McDaniel on Saturday.
Kalthof is now a six-time MAC Player of the Week honoree. She and the Spartans return to the field on Tuesday night at home against Franklin & Marshall, followed by a road game at Lancaster Bible on Thursday and another home game with Bryn Mawr on Saturday.
