CARLISLE, PA – The York College golf squad opened up their 2025 call campaign with a tie for fourth at the Dickinson Fall Invitational at the Carlisle Barracks Golf Club in Carlisle, PA. There were 21 teams at the tournament.Â

The Spartans finished tied for fourth with Millersville as the two teams each shot 583. York carded a 290 on day two after a 293 on Sunday. Millersville flipped those two scores for their tournament with a 290 on Sunday and 293 on Monday.

Franklin & Marshall ran away with the team title as they shot a two-day total of 556 including a 275 on Sunday to sprint out to the early lead. Dickinson finished second, 19 strokes back of F&M with a score of 575. Susquehanna finished seven strokes in front of York and Millersville with a score of 576.

Senior
Jacob Fripp led the Spartans as he finished tied for 8
th in the 109-player field. Fripp shot a one-over-par 73 on Sunday after followed that with a blistering three-under-par 69 on Monday. Fripp's two-day total of 142 was six strokes back of Dickinson's Collin McMahon-Shea who won the individual title on match of cards against Max Silverman as they both finished the tournament with scores of 136. Fripp ended his Monday round with three birdies over his final four holes. He notched four birdies and one bogey in round two.

Nate Myers and
Alex Koch were the next two Spartan finishers as they each placed 14
th with a tournament score of 146. Koch shot an even-par 71 in the opening round. He then shot a four-over-par 75 on Monday. Myers fired matching 73's for the weekend to earn his top 15 finish.

Junior
Thomas O'Connell was York's fourth scorer on the weekend as he tied for 36
th with a two-day total of 150. O'Connell shot 77 on Sunday but rebounded nicely to shave four strokes off that total on Sunday with a two-over-par 73. Sophomore
Adam Gorman was York's final tournament participant as he placed 66
th with a score of 155. Gorman shot 76 on Sunday followed by a Monday afternoon 79.

The Spartans are now off until September 21 when they head to the Bucknell Golf Club to participate in the two-day Gauntlet Tournament in Lewisburg, PA. Round one on Sunday is set for 11:00 am.
