YORK, PA – The York College women's lacrosse team placed a league-high four players on the 2025 Academic All-MAC squad as announced on Wednesday morning by the league office.

Nesiah Bertram were voted to the squad. The Spartans have now played four players on the squad in each of the last two years.
The Spring Academic All-MAC teams recognize the top student-athletes both in the classroom and in athletic competition during the 2025 spring semester. The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote on the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight on both academic success and athletic success. A student-athlete must have a spring semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher to be eligible for the award.
Garabo makes her third appearance on the Academic All-MAC squad. The Spartan goalie had another fantastic season as she earned her third IWLCA Division III Goalie of the Year award. She was first-team IWLCA All-American for the third straight year in addition to earning All-Region V honors for the third straight campaign. She was also named the MAC Commonwealth Goalie of the Year for the third straight campaign.
Garabo started 21 games with a 7.91 goals against average in 1,039:49 of work in net. She made 154 saves and had a save percentage of .529. Garabo went 17-4 in leading York to their fourth straight MAC Commonwealth title and a berth in the Division III Sweet 16.
Garabo recently completed her graduated degree in Strategic Leadership, finishing with a GPA of 4.00.
Kluegel earns her second straight Academic All-MAC selection. The senior closed out her Spartan career as a third-team IWLCA All-American in addition to being a first-team IWLCA All-Region V pick. Kluegel was the 2024 MAC Commonwealth Attacker of the Year.
Kluegel led the Spartans with 81 points on 59 goals and 22 assists in 22 games. She had six game-winning goals with 19 ground balls and three caused turnovers. Kluegel was the Commonwealth tournament MVP with seven goals in the championship game win over Stevenson.
Kluegel graduated with a degree in civil engineering and owned a perfect 4.00 GPA for her Spartan career.
Huet capped a great Spartan career as she earned the 2025 MAC Commonwealth Attacker of the Year in addition to being a first-team IWLCA All-Region V honoree. Huet also earned IWLCA third-team All-American honors.
Huet finished the year with 79 points on 42 goals and 37 assists in 22 contests. She was 10-for-17 in free position chances while she also had three game-winning goals for the Green and White. Huet put 64 of her 82 total shots on goal, good for a 78% shooting mark.
Huet graduated with a degree in advertising and digital marketing as she posted a GPA of 3.87 for the spring semester.
Bertram was a force on the defensive side of the field for the Spartans as she earned first-team MAC All-Commonwealth honors. She also earned first-team IWLCA All-Region V accolades. Bertram was named the national IWLCA Division III Defensive Player of the Week for March 25.
Bertram started all 22 games for the Spartans as she had 23 ground balls, a team-high tying 28 caused turnovers and 25 draw controls. The Spartans finished 11
th nationally in scoring defense (7.00 goals per game against) and fifth in save percentage (.533).
Bertram graduated with a business management degree and a perfect 4.00 GPA. Bertram and Kluegel shared the William DeMeester Senior Scholar-Athlete award as they had the highest cumulative GPA in the 2024-25 senior class.
