YORK, PA – The York College Athletic Department had six Spartan female student-athletes earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) At-Large Academic All-District honors as announced by the organization recently.

Nesiah Bertram, and
Zoe Kluegel were joined on the squad by field hockey standouts
Belle Fields and
Riley Buschert along with women's golfer
Grace Strickland.
Student-athletes who own a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above and are significant contributors to their teams are eligible to earn the prestigious academic honor.
Garabo closes out her stellar Spartan career as a three-time IWLCA Division III Goalie of the Year. Garabo, a grad student with a 4.00 GPA, led the Spartans to their third straight MAC Commonwealth crown and a school-record tying 18 wins. Garabo went 17-4 with a 7.91 goals against average, a .529 save percentage and 154 saves in 1,039:49 of play. Garabo was a 2024 CSC Academic All-America selection.
Bertram was one of the top defenders in the MAC Commonwealth as a senior. Bertram graduated in May with a 4.00 GPA in business management. She played in all 22 games for the Green and White as she led the team with 28 caused turnovers while she also had 25 draw controls, and 23 ground balls. She anchored a defense that allowed just seven goals per game.
Kluegel had another outstanding year as she led the Spartans with 81 points on 59 goals and 22 assists. She graduated with a civil engineering degree and a 4.00 cumulative GPA. Kluegel had a six game-winning goals while she also had 19 ground balls for the Spartans. She led a Spartan offense that scored 14.4 goals per game.
Fields concluded her career with her second NFHCA All-American season in leading the Spartans to their first MAC Commonwealth title. She graduated with a 3.56 GPA in civil engineering in May. Fields played every minute of the 2025 season in goal for York as she had a 0.59 goals against average, an .867 save percentage and 13 individual shutouts for the campaign as York advanced to their third straight round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament.
Buschert had a fantastic campaign as she was a first-team NFHCA All-American for the Spartans. Buschert had the game-winning goal in the MAC Championship game as York earned their first-ever conference title. Buschert graduated with a degree in hospitality management major posted a 3.76 GPA. She concluded the year with 30 points on 10 goals and 10 assists with four game-winning goals. She also had a defensive save for the 17-6 Commonwealth champions.
Strickland put together one of the best spring seasons in school history after the junior missed the entire fall portion of the schedule after off-season surgery. Strickland is an exercise science major who owns a 3.84 GPA. She was the Middle Atlantic Conference Player of the Year as she won the league title with a tournament total of 152 as she won the tournament by two strokes. Strickland finished the year with a 79.55 stroke average over five tournaments with one win, two top-five finishes and three top-ten finishes.
