YORK, PA – The York College baseball team placed eight players on the 2025 MAC All-Commonwealth squad as announced by the league on Monday morning.

Kennedy capped a brilliant career in the Green and White with an outstanding grad year. Kennedy was 1-1 with ten saves in 20 appearances for the year. He had a 2.53 ERA as he struck out 20 in 21.1 innings of work with just four walks. Kennedy concludes his year with a school record 20 saves and 70 appearances.

Tinneny led the squad in batting with a .373 average. He scored 40 runs, had nine doubles, three triples and four home runs. Tinneny had 42 RBI as he owned a 1.025 OPS, a .540 slugging percentage and a .485 on-base percentage as he drew 30 walks and was hit by ten pitches. Tinneny is now a two-time first-team MAC All-Commonwealth selection.

Prendergast hit .358 with 51 runs scored, 17 doubles, one triple, six home runs and 39 RBI. He had a 1.067 OPS, a .586 slugging percentage and a .481 on-base percentage. He had 23 walks and was plunked by a team-high 18 pitches. Prendergast is now a two-time MAC All-Commonwealth honoree after being a second-team pick last year.

Hughes had another strong campaign in the front of the Spartan rotation. He finished the year with a record of 7-1 with a 4.13 ERA in 65.1 innings of work. Hughes had 11 starts, threw two complete games with a 1.38 WHIP. He struck out 66 and walked 19 during the year as opponents hit .284 against him. Hughes was 5-0 in league play with a 2.91 ERA. He is now a two-time MAC All-Commonwealth honoree in addition to being last year's league Rookie-of-the-Year.

Wade took advantage of the earning the starting catching job as he hit .277 with 22 runs scored, three doubles, five home runs and 26 RBI. Wade recorded a .843 OPS, a .468 slugging percentage and a .375 on-base percentage.

Niedzialkowski earned the Spartan first base job early in the campaign and responded with an all-conference caliber season. He hit .325 with 25 runs, eight doubles, and a home run with 16 RBI. Niedzialkowski had an .800 OPS, a .413 slugging percentage and a .387 on-base percentage.

Urban had a fantastic junior year as he played in 34 games at third base during the year. He hit .315 with 29 runs scored, 15 doubles, and four home runs and 17 RBI. Urban recorded a .895 OPS, a .528 slugging percentage, and a .367 on-base percentage.

Neeld played in 31 games as a junior, seeing his at bats as the Spartan designated hitter. He hit .250 with 28 runs scored, six doubles and a team-leading nine home runs. Neeld had 31 runs, 15 walks and three sacrifice flies.

The all-conference honors for Wade, Niedzialkowski, Urban and Neeld were the first award for each.

The Spartans finished the year with a mark of 25-19 including 15-6 in the MAC Commonwealth. York finished second in the league and advanced to the MAC Commonwealth title series for the third time in the last five years. The Spartans must replace Kennedy and Tinneny but will welcome back the remaining six all-conference players for the 2026 season.
