Spartan Men Extend Lead After Day Two of Spartan Splash

YORK, Pa. - The York College men's swimming team won five of 12 events with nine top-three finishes to remain in the lead after day two of the Spartan Splash on Saturday.

The Spartans now have 646 points and nearly doubled their lead from day one as they hold a 298.5-point margin over Widener (347.5 pts.) who moved into second, followed by Stevenson (336 pts.), Arcadia (335 pts.) and Elizabethtown (301.5 pts.) in the top-five.

The Spartans swept both relays on the night beginning with the 200 medley as Bryce Miller, Cooper Stiles, Brenden Stuhltrager and Nick Bordovsky teamed up for the winning time of 1:33.10. York closed out the night by finishing first in the 800 free relay with Bryan Collins, Cooper Stiles, Ryan Gray and Colin McLallen combining for the top time of 7:09.89.

York also nabbed three individual wins on the night with Stuhltrager in the 100 fly, Stiles in the 100 breast and Miller in the 100 back.

The Spartans also secured three second-place finishes with McLallen in  the 400 IM, Gray in the 200 free and Collins in the 100 breast.

Ben Stambaugh captured a third-place finish for York in the 200 free with a time of 1:50.03.
