Collins, Miller, Daniele Earn Men’s Swimming Academic All-MAC Honors

NEWTOWN, Pa. - Three members of the York College men's swimming team - Bryan Collins, Alex Daniele and Bryce Miller - earned a spot on the 2026 Men's Swimming Academic All-MAC Team as announced by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office on Thursday. Collins, Daniele and Miller were three of 10 student-athletes recognized on the team.

The Winter Academic All-MAC teams recognize the top student-athletes both in the classroom and in athletic competition during the 2026 spring semester. The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote on the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight on both academic success and athletic success. A student-athlete must have a spring semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher to be eligible for the award.

Collins posted a 3.34 spring semester GPA and graduated with a stellar 3.73 cumulative GPA as a civil engineering major. The senior racked up a serious amount of hardware in the pool as he was dubbed the David B. Eavenson MAC Men's Swimmer of the Year after capturing three individual gold medals and four relay gold medals at the MAC Swimming Championships. He also earned the MAC Men's Swimming Senior Scholar-Athlete award for his combined athletic and academic achievements throughout his career.

Miller, also a civil engineering major, posted a 3.47 spring GPA and owns a sterling 3.86 cumulative GPA through his first two years. Miller once again had a strong showing at the MAC Championships as he captured three individual medals, including golds in the 100 backstroke and 200 IM, while contributing to four gold medals in the 200 medley, 400 medley, 200 free and 400 free relays.

Daniele, a sport management major, posted a perfect 4.0 GPA this past spring and owns a 3.97 cumulative average through three years. The junior had a breakout performance at the MAC Championships as he captured his first-career medals with a gold in the 200 butterfly and a bronze in the 100 butterfly.

Collins ended his career as a three-time Academic All-MAC performer which is the most by any Spartan male swimmer. Miller earned his second selection in as many years and Daniele earned his first.
