Women’s Wrestling Rolls McDaniel

WESTMINSTER, Md. - The York women's wrestling team cruised to a 39-10 victory at McDaniel on Saturday in the Green Terror's inaugural dual as a program.

How It Happened
The Spartans rushed to a 30-0 lead with wins at the first six bouts. Chloe Gross set the tone with a first-period fall at 103 for her first dual win the season and her first fall as a Spartan. Daisy Hawkins and Gisele Ramirez joined the pin party as they stuck their opponents in 30 seconds and under. Baraba Hartman kept the pin train rolling at 131 as she put Keira Cooper on her back in 2:26.

McDaniel avoided a shutout as York forfeited 138 and the Terror added to their score with a Talyor Mead fall at 145.

The Spartans closed out the dual with a technical fall by Allison Brandt at 180 followed by  Emma Lavalle's fall at 207.
