LANCASTER, PA – The York College men's indoor track and field squad closed out their regular season indoor schedule with a trip to the Blue & White Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall College on Friday.
The meet was a non-scoring meet.
Senior
Aaron Cosgrove had another big day including a school record in the pole vault. Cosgrove won the pole vault with a height of 4.57 meters, breaking the previous record of 4.41 held by Mark Ksiezopolski on February 14, 2009. Cosgrove also finished third in the triple jump with a best distance of 12.92 meters.
York got a trio of runner up finishes on Friday.
Aiden Rollinson,
Joshua Smoot, and
Ian Higgins all finished second in their events. Rollison was second in the weight throw while Smoot was the runner up in the 1000 meter run. Higgins earned his silver in the 200 meter dash.
The Spartans boasted 17 top eight finishes on the day with Cosgrove and
Matt Martin each earning a pair of top eights. Â

The Spartans will head to Alvernia University to participate in the two-day Middle Atlantic Conference Indoor Championships hosted by Alvernia. The championship kicks off Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm. The championship resumes Saturday morning at 10:00 am in Reading.
