Manning, Rollinson Notch Wins as Spartans Open Indoor Season

LANCASTER, Pa. - The York College men's track and field team opened the indoor season at the Diplomat Open hosted by Franklin and Marshall College on Friday evening.

York captured a pair of victories with a total of eight top-five performances on the night.

Both Spartan victories came in the throwing events as Andrew Manning placed first in the shot put and Aidan Rollinson won the weight throw. Joseph Bryant also performed well in the shot put with a fourth-place finish.

Brody Weachter led the way for York in the pole vault as he placed third, while Emory Best took fourth and Jonah Arnold captured fifth.

York had more success in the jumps with Isaiah Adamson claiming fourth in the high jump.

Hamed Diallo led the way for York on the track with a fourth-place finish in the 200m.

The Spartans will return to competition on January 11 at the Kaye and JJ Smith Invitational hosted by Shenandoah University.
