YORK, PA – York College graduate thrower
Andrew Mott capped his historic Spartan career by earning College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America honors as announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.
To be eligible for the prestigious national award, a student-athlete must own a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above and be a significant contributor to their team. Mott owns a GPA of 3.90 as he in the graduate program for Data Analytics.
Mott is the 21
st Spartan to earn national All-America honors and the award is the 28
th earned by a York College Student-Athlete. He earned a spot on the second of three national teams.
Mott's year was a memorable one as he captured first team NCAA All-America honors twice. He finished third in the discus throw and fourth in the shot put. He also earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in both the shot put and discus throw. Mott captured the MAC gold medals in both events. He was also voted the 2025 USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic Region Men's Field Athlete of the Year and the 2025 Spring MAC Senior-Scholar Athlete for men's outdoor track and field.
The graduate thrower rewrote the overall MAC discus record this season (55.57m) and recorded the second-best throw in the discus and fourth-best throw in the shot put in DIII this season.
Mott capped his career as a six-time outdoor All-American while he was also a eighth-time outdoor MAC gold medalist.
