Box Score BUENA VISTA, VA – The third-ranked York College men's lacrosse squad pushed their win streak to seven as the Green and White rolled past Southern Virginia 20-11 in Capital Athletic Conference play on Saturday in Buena Vista, Virginia. The Spartans outscored the Knights 12-3 in the first half to run away with the contest.
Senior Hunter Davis became the fourth Spartan to join the 200-point club with his big day against the Knights.

How It Happened
• The Spartans got off toa great start in the game as the ripped off the first four goals of the game. Brendan McGrath, Thomas Pfeiffer, Hunter Davis and Brad Casale each scored for the Spartans as the Green and White raced out to the early lead. After Southern Virginia got on the board with a Zach Danneman goal, Danny O'Connell answered as the Spartans took a 5-1 lead to the second quarter.
• The Spartans kept rolling to start the second quarter as they ripped off the first three goals of the period to push out to a 8-1 lead. Nick Roman opened the run with his first goal of the year and he was followed by Pfeiffer and O'Connell to take the seven-goal lead. SVU scored two of the next three goals of the quarter but the Green and White finished the quarter with three goals in the final 2:26 of the stanza. Brendan O'Sullivan recorded back-to-back goals including a man-up goal to push the lead to 11-3. Jake Hvazda completed the scoring in the quarter with a goal with 1:24 left in the half.
• York kept rolling in the third quarter as the Spartans scored the first three goals of the period to increase the lead to 15-3. The Knights trimmed the Spartan lead with three goals of their own in the third.
• The fourth quarter was filled with offense as both teams scored five goals to provide for the final nine goal margin of victory for the Spartans.
