How it Happened:
• It didn't take long for the Spartans to jump on the Seahawks, with Austin Glab leading the way. Glab buried the game-opening goal 1:10 into the first quarter. He scored again a little over a minute later to make it 2-0. The Green and White scored all five of the first-quarter goals as Ryan Cook and faceoff man Billy Sasso buried their chances before Glab finished off the scoring to end the quarter. After the Cook goal, Sasso won the faceoff and marched down the field to convert the unassisted goal.

• The second quarter featured fewer goals, just two, but it started just like the first. Cameron Leech took a pass from Joseph Joseph to make it 6-0 just 3:27 into the second quarter. Ray LaPlaca put St. Mary's on the board with just over a minute remaining in the half, but the Spartans remained in control, 6-1, at the break.

• Again, York opened the quarter strong with a goal from Thomas Pfeiffer. The Seahawks returned the favor a few minutes later, but another run from the Green and White put the game away for good. Glab scored on a man advantage before Hunter Davis finished the quarter with two consecutive goals. The second goal, Davis scored with just four seconds left, off a Leech pass.

Brendan McGrath, the Spartans' leading scorer, opened the fourth-quarter scoring less than two minutes into the final period. McGrath scored his second a few minutes later to push the lead to 12-3. Sophomore Brett Altenburg topped off the 14-4 victory for the fifth-ranked Spartans with 2:58 left in the game.
