Box Score YORK, PA – The York College men's lacrosse team defeated the University of Mary Washington 13-7 on the road in Capital Athletic Conference action on Saturday. Sophomore Hunter Davis scored a career-high matching four goals in the victory, improving the Spartans to 10-1 and 2-0 in CAC play.

How it Happened:
• York started hot on Saturday, with leading scorer Brendan McGrath opening festivities with an extra-man opportunity finish off of a Dillon Hannah assist four minutes into the game. Mary Washington equalized just under three minutes later. Then, York scored three goals in 1:25 to burst out to a 4-1 lead. Austin Glab, Hannah and Joseph Joseph netted the Spartan goals. After trading goals just before the end of the period, York led 5-2. Hunter Davis scored the fifth goal for the Spartans, his first of a career-high matching four on the day.
• The Eagles again drew closer to start the second period, but York responded with a goal from Hannah just 50 seconds later. The two teams traded goals once again after Davis scored with 7:49 remaining to go up 7-4. Thomas Pfeiffer followed that with his lone goal of the game with 6:18 left in the half. The Green and White led 8-5 at the half when Andrew Carlson scored with six second left in the half.
• After two high-scoring periods, the teams settled down in the third. All three goals scored in the period were from the Spartans, one from Davis, another from Matt Whitcher before Cameron Leech concluded the scoring in the quarter. York led 11-5 after three.
• Each team scored twice in the final period, with Davis and McGrath finishing things off for the No. 6-ranked Spartans to pull away 13-7. Landry Marshall made seven saves for the Spartans in the cage.
