Box Score DOVER, DEL – The York College men's lacrosse team won their fifth straight as the fourth ranked Spartans posted a 19-4 win over the Wesley Wolverines in Capital Athletic Conference play on Wednesday afternoon in Dover, Delaware. The Spartans improve to 12-1 overall and 5-0 while the Wolverines fall to 4-10 overall and 0-5 in the conference.
How it happened:
• The Spartans blitzed the Wolverines in the first quarter as they scored the first five goals of the game. Junior Joseph Joseph scored two of the five goals as York jumped out to the early lead.
• After Wesley scored the final goal of the first quarter, the Spartans outscored the Wolverines 5-0 in the second quarter to push their halftime lead to 10-1. Joseph scored to open the quarter while Matt Whitcher scored twice in the quarter.
• The teams traded two goals to open the third quarter as York led 12-3. The Spartans then ripped off six straight goals to increase their lead to 18-3. Senior Andrew Gamble scored a man-up goal with 4:28 in the third as he became the second Spartan in school history to reach 200 points. Gamble now has 137 goals and 63 assists in his illustrious Spartan career.
• Each team scored a single goal in the fourth period to conclude the scoring.

What's Next
York begins a busy weekend on Friday night as they head to Owings Mills, Maryland to face nationally ranked Stevenson University at 7:00 pm. The Spartans then will play Southern Virginia at home on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
