Game Notes:

The Eagles lead the all-time series 12-10, but the Spartans have won the last six meetings … York's 16 goals is the most UMW has allowed this season … York has now recorded 50 or more shots in a game three times this season as they recorded 50 today … the Spartans picked up 40 ground balls, which is the second-most this season … York's 10 turnovers is the second-fewest in a game this season … Gamble extends his point streak to 10 games and has scored multiple goals in eight of those 10 games … Hannah also kept his 10-game point streak in tact with his two goals today … Glab extended his goal streak to eight games with his tally today … Davis saw his nine-game point streak come to a close, but he leads all freshmen and ranks second on the team overall with 22 points on 15 goals and seven assists.

Coach Childs Notes:

Brandon Childs surpassed Jim Griffin on the men's lacrosse all-time coaching wins list with his 57th victory today with the Green and White … Childs is midway through his fifth season with York, while Griffin spent seven full seasons as head coach of the Spartans … in 83 games on the York sideline, Childs has compiled a record of 57-26, with a record of 23-8 against CAC opponents … his teams have won 68% of their games, including 74% in conference play … in 2014, Childs led the Spartans to a school-record 16 wins and a share of the CAC regular season crown. That same season, York made its first-ever appearance in the CAC title game and received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, also a program first … Childs was named the 2014 CAC Coach of the Year for his outstanding achievements that season … under the leadership of Coach Childs there have been 20 All-CAC selections, one CAC Player of the Year, three CAC Rookies of the Year, six USILA All-American selections and two CoSIDA Academic All-America Team selections.
