They Said It:
• "I thought we made the most of our offensive chances today. It didn't feel like we had the ball a lot today but when we did, we made the most of them. I thought we played fast and winning the ground ball count was important. I thought it showed out athleticism to win the 50/50 ground balls today. We were able to manufacture some goals by playing the pace we wanted to play." – Head coach Brandon Childs on his thoughts about the win.
• "We are taking it one game at a time which sounds incredibly cliché. Last year we were so focused on the big picture I think it hurt us. This year we are really just taking it day by day. It was important to me to be 1-0 on February 27." Coach Childs when asked about the Spartans' 3-0 start.
• "Andrew has done a fantastic job of being patient and making the most of his opportunities so far this year. He's been a really good leader for the young guys we have on that end of the field. When he has gotten his opportunities this year, he has buried them." – Coach Childs on Andrew Gamble's start to the season.
