Women's Golf Derek Behrenshausen - Director of Athletic Communications

Spartans Finish Third at Stevenson Invitational

UPPERCO, Md. - The York College women's golf team finished third out of 10 teams at the Stevenson Women's Spring Invitational on Monday hosted by Stevenson University at Piney Branch Golf Club.

The host Mustangs won the event with a team score of 349 (+65). Drew (355) finished second, followed by York (358), Salisbury (373) and Juniata (394) in the top-five.

Sophomore Ava Johnsen led the way for York as she finished third overall with a 10-over-par 81 and led the team with a pair of birdies.

Junior Lily Davis and sophomore Samiya Bodalia tied for 13th as they both fired 91 (+20).

Senior Vivian D'Orazi and junior Rachel Koengetter tied for 20th place out of 53 finishers with a score of 95 (+24).

The Spartans now have five top-five finishes this year, including two in the spring semester.

York returns to competition on Wednesday, April 15 at the MAC Preview & Albright Spring Invitational which will be played at Berkleigh Golf Club in Kutztown, Pa.
