Strickland Named MAC Women's Golf Senior Scholar-Athlete

NEWTOWN, Pa. - York College senior golfer Grace Strickland has been tabbed the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Women's Golf Senior Scholar-Athlete as the conference announced their 2025-26 Spring MAC Senior Scholar-Athletes on Friday.

The MAC recognizes a senior student-athlete from each of the each of the 11 spring sports (baseball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's outdoor track & field, and men's volleyball) were recognized for their strong academic and athletic prowess.

Strickland has been a driving force behind the Spartans' dominance on the links, helping lead York College to a MAC team title and an appearance in the NCAA Championship. Strickland reached the pinnacle of individual achievement as the conference Player of the Year and individual champion, outperforming the field to secure the title. A model of consistency throughout her career, she is a three-time All-MAC selection, including two years on the First Team and one on the Second Team, cementing her legacy as one of the most decorated golfers in program history.

Off the course, Strickland is an Exercise Science major who has maintained an elite academic standard with 3.81 GPA. She has been named a WGCA Scholar All-American, a prestigious national honor, and is a two-time Academic All-MAC selection. Her commitment to her studies is further evidenced by her seven appearances on the Dean's List and her recognition as a CSC Academic All-District honoree. Strickland's ability to pair championship-level athletics with a rigorous academic workload exemplifies the ideal student-athlete.

Strickland is now the third Spartan female golfer to earn this prestigious honor, joining Jordan Koller (2022) and Natalie Robson (2023). York has earned the most MAC Women's Golf Senior Scholar-Athlete awards since joining the Conference in 2021.
