Women’s Golf Nabs First at MAC Preview

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The York College women's golf team finished first out of eight teams at the MAC Preview & Albright Invitational on Wednesday hosted by Albright College at Berkleigh Golf Club.

The Spartans finished with a top score of 331 to edge out Hood by 42 strokes. Lebanon Valley (387) finished third, followed by Misericordia (389) and Arcadia (396) in the top-five.

York had four players finish in the top-10 led by senior Vivian D'Orazi who fired a 79 (+7) to finish third. Junior Lily Davis finished fourth with a 10-over-par 82, while Ava Johnsen finished fifth with an 83.

Junior Rachel Koengetter nabbed seventh place with an 87 (+15). Sophomore Samiya Bodalia rounded out the lineup in 16th place with a 93 (+21).

The Spartans now have six top-five finishes this year, including three tournament titles.

York returns to competition on Sunday when they open play at the Spartan Spring Invitational at Regents Glen Country Club.
