Blanc, Strickland and Jolakian Named Academic All-MAC

The trio of Spartans repeated from last year in earning the academic honor

YORK, PA – The York College women's golf team placed three players on the 2025 Academic All-MAC squad as announced on Thursday morning by the league office.
 
Juniors Grace Strickland and Tori Blanc were joined on the 11-player squad by sophomore Victoria Jolakian. The trio also earned the award last spring for the Spartans.
 
The Spring Academic All-MAC teams recognize the top student-athletes both in the classroom and in athletic competition during the 2025 spring semester. The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote on the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight on both academic success and athletic success. A student-athlete must have a spring semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher to be eligible for the award.
 
Strickland missed the fall portion of the schedule as she recovered from off-season surgery. However, the junior came back with a vengeance as she won the 2025 MAC individual championship. Strickland shot an opening round 75 and then won the tournament with day two score of 77, earning the title by two shots.
 
Strickland is a three-time All-MAC honoree for the Spartans as she is also now a two-time Academic All-MAC pick. Strickland finished the year with a scoring average of 79.55 in 11 rounds in five Spartan tournaments. Strickland had York's lone win for the year while she also had two top-fives and three top-tens. She owns a career scoring average of 81.40 in 43 rounds.
 
Strickland is an exercise science major with an overall GPA of 3.84. Strickland had a strong spring with a 4.00 GPA.
 
Blanc finished out her Spartan career with her third Academic All-MAC selection. Blanc was a three-time All-MAC honoree in addition to being the 2023 MAC Rookie-of-the-Year. Blanc finished 2025 with a scoring average of 80.05 as she played in all 19 rounds for the Green and White.
 
Blanc earned one top-five finish and five top-ten placements this year. For her career, Blanc owns a scoring average of 81.29 in 52 rounds. She shot a career-best 72 in her final home tournament of her career on April 14.
 
Blanc graduated in May with a degree in political science. Blanc, who earned her degree in three years, concluded her Spartan academic career with a perfect 4.00 GPA.
 
Jolakian makes her second Academic All-MAC appearance for the Spartans. The sophomore standout has now posted two top-four finishes at the MAC Championships in her career including a fourth-place finish in 2025. She shot 80 in the opening round but carded a 76 in round two to finish with a tournament total of 156.
 
Jolakian finished the year leading the Spartans in scoring average at 78.47 in 19 rounds of play. She started all nine of the Spartan tournaments this year and recorded four top-five finishes and six top-ten placements. Jolakian owns a career scoring average of 81.67 for her 33 career rounds.
 
Jolakian is an accounting major who owns an overall GPA of 3.90 including a 3.80 this spring.
 
The Spartan women's golf program has now has three different years with three players earning the Academic All-MAC honor.
