Spartan Women Conclude Day Two of MAC Championships

YORK, Pa. – The York women's track and field team sits in 11th place out of 13 teams after day two of the Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by York College on Friday.

Top Performances
Sofia Harnois scored five points for the Spartans with her fourth-place finish in the discus throw on Friday with a top throw of 37.81m.

Taylor Wickard led the way for York in the steeplechase with a 10th-place finish and a time of 13:13.88.

The Spartans also earned numerous qualifications to Saturday's finals.

Angela Nuse earned a spot in the 100m final with a seventh-place finish in the prelims with a time of 12.84.

Keziah Boyce qualified for the 200m final with a fifth-place finish and a time of 26.34. Boyce also earned a spot in the 400m final with a seventh-place finish and a personal-best time of 1:00.31.

Payton Mann finished first in the 400m hurdles prelims with a top time of 1:04.72.

The 4x100 relay team consisting of Mann, Boyce, Nuse and Julie Lopez qualified for the final as they finished fourth with a time of 49.88 which is their best this season and .21 seconds off the school record.

Up Next
The Spartans return to competition on Saturday in the third and final day of the MAC Championships. Events have been moved up to a 10 a.m. start time.
