Men's Swimming Sits Third After Day One of MAC Championships

The 200 medley relay set a new conference record on Thursday

YORK, PA – The York College men's swim team had a strong day during the opening two sessions of the 2025 MAC Championships at the Graham Aquatic Center in York.

The Spartans accumulated 284 points during day one as they are one point back of second place Widener. Stevens leads the team standings with 351 points. Arcadia (180 points) is fourth while Misericordia (124 points) rounds out the top five in the 11-team field.

The Spartans had four individual medalists on the evening while the 200 medley relay team set a new conference mark in winning the event. The foursome of Bryce Miller, Cooper Stiles, Brenden Stuhltrager, and Bryan Collins combined for a record time of 1:32.50, breaking the previous mark by .43 seconds.

Collins picked up an individual gold medal as he won the 50 free with a time of 20.83. Collins defended the title he won last winter and is now a three-time MAC gold medalist. Stuhltrager was right behind Collins as he finished second with a time of 21.20 to earn a silver medal.

Senior Liam Perrin was outstanding in the 500 free as he placed second in the race with a time of 4:44.27. The medal in the 500 is his second career top three finish as he won bronze as a sophomore. He has finished in the top seven in the 500 in all four of his MAC Championships. Teammate Will McDermott just missed medaling in the 500 with a fourth place finish, touching the wall in a time of 4:51.58.

Bryce Miller was York's final Thursday medalist as he placed third in the 200 IM with a time of 1:54.29. Nick Bordovsky was York's final A final finisher as he placed eighth in the 50 free with a time of 21.92.

Ryan Gray (11th in the 500 free), Stiles (13th in the 200 IM), and Brady Tipton (14th in the 500 free) were the other Spartans who earned top 16 finishes on Thursday.
