YORK, Pa. - Three members of the Spartan men's swimming team,
Bryan Collins,
Bryce Miller and
Cooper Stiles, garnered Winter Academic All-MAC honors as announced by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) on Thursday.
Collins, a civil engineering major, produced a 3.73 grad point average throughout the 2025 spring semester. In the pool, the junior captured six MAC gold medals (two individual, four relay) at the 2025 MAC Swimming Championships. He was part of the winning 200 medley relay team which set the MAC overall and championship meet records with a time of 1:32.50. He also owned the MAC's top times of the season in the 50 free and 100 free. Collins is now a two-time Academic All-MAC performer for his career.
Miller earned eligibility for this distinguished honor by posting a 4.0 GPA in the spring as a civil engineering student. The freshman impressively led his team with a seven MAC medals, including five golds, at the MAC Championships after winning the
100 Backstroke and contributing to victories in the 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay. He also helped set a MAC overall and championship record in the 200 medley relay in addition to owning the MAC's top time in the 100 backstroke this season.
Stiles compiled a 3.32 grad point average in the classroom this past spring as an exercise science major. The sophomore captured
two MAC gold medals in the 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay in addition to being part of the winning 200 medley relay team which set the MAC overall and championship meet records (1:32.50).
The Winter Academic All-MAC teams recognize the top student-athletes both in the classroom and in athletic competition during the 2025 spring semester. The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote on the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight on both academic success and athletic success. A student-athlete must have a spring semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher to be eligible for the award.
