READING, PA – The women's track & field squad kicked off the February portion of their indoor season with a trip to the Alvernia Plex Shootout on Saturday in Reading.
The meet was a non-team scoring meet.
The Spartans had seven individuals earn top eight finishes in the meet while the 4x200 relay placed seventh in their race. The foursome of
Megan Fique,
Keziah Boyce,
Payton Mann, and
Rosalynn Diehl combined to post a time of 1:55.60 in the relay finish.
Sophomore
Isabel Tenney finished with York's top placement as she was the runner-up in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:26.11. That time is the fourth best in the MAC so far this season.
Freshman
Alita Paragon continues to have a strong first collegiate season. Paragon earned a third place finish in the pole vault with a best height of 3.15 meters. Teammate
Maddy Neutzel also had a good day in the pole vault as she placed fifth with a best height of 2.85 meters.
Senior
Lindsay Fry earned a fourth place finish in the one mile run with a time of 5:31.73.
Isabella Bankert also recorded a fourth place finish for York in the 60 hurdles with a time of 10.00.
Keziah Boyce recorded a fifth place finish in the 200 meter run, crossing the line in a time of 27.78.
Isabella Ewing rounded out York's top eight finishers as she was sixth in the triple jump with a best leap of 9.02 meters.
