Spartan Women Finish Strong at MAC Outdoor Championships

YORK, Pa. – The York women's track and field team finished eighth out of 15 teams as the Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by York College concluded on Saturday

The Spartans captured three medals, racked up eight podium appearances and set two school records on the day.

Top Performances
Payton Mann captured the conference title in the 400m hurdles and did so with a new school record time of 1:02.72.

York also captured gold in the 4x400m relay as Angela Nuse, Mann, Isabel Tenney and Keziah Boyce combined for a school record time of 4:00.91.

Alita Paragon earned a medal in her first MAC Outdoor Championship appearance. The freshman took third in the pole vault with a personal-best height of 3.45m.

Boyce also earned a pair of individual podium appearances on Saturday as she finished fourth in the 200m and nabbed eighth in the 400m.

Nuse earned an individual podium spot with a fifth-place finish in the 100m.

Mann, Boyce, Nuse and Julie Lopez teamed up for a fourth-place finish in the 4x100m relay.

Zoe Myers led the throwers with a sixth-place finish in the javelin with a throw of 35.05m.

The Spartans return to competition at the AARTFC Outdoor Championships on May 14-15 at Williams College.
