NEWTOWN, Pa. - A record-number seven members of the York College women's soccer team earned All-MAC Commonwealth honors as announced by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office on Wednesday.

In addition to the all-conference honors, the Spartans also had a major award winner as Meg Kalthof was tabbed the MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Year.

The seven All-MAC Commonwealth selections sets a new York women's soccer program record for all-conference honorees. The Spartans have had six selections four different times throughout history. York has accumulated 27 all-conference honors since joining the Commonwealth in 2021.

Meg Kalthof earned her second Offensive Player of the Year honor as she led the Commonwealth with a career-high 15 goals through the regular season and conference postseason play, while also racking up a league-high six game-winning goals and compiling 33 points which finished second in the conference. The junior forward put together a historically notable season as her 15 goals rank as the second-most in program history, while her game-winning goal total tied the program record and her 33 points ranks as the third-most. For her career, Kalthof is third in York history in goals (36), third in points (87), fourth in game-winning goals and tied for seventh in assists (15).

Kalthof is the first player in program history to earn multiple conference player-of-the-year awards and is one of just 11 Spartans to earn three or more all-conference honors.

Abby Brown, Lexi Mazzella and Carissa Baugus all earned their first All-MAC Commonwealth honor and each had a big impact on the Spartan offense which scored its most goals as a unit since 2009. Mazzella racked up a career-best nine goals and 19 points which both ranked fifth in the league this season. Brown and Baugus combined for 16 assists with Baugus tying for the league lead with nine and Brown ranking third with seven. Baugus' nine assists is tied for the third-most in program history and the most by a Spartans since 2018.

York's defensive all-conference selections - Mackenzie Hanley, Sara Frensley and Joss Metz - combined for the best Spartan performance in over a decade. These three Spartans led a unit that allowed the third-fewest amount of goals (13) in program history to go along with a 0.65 goals-against average and 12 shutouts which is the third-most clean sheets in York history.

Frensley joined Kalthof as one of just 11 players to earn three-plus all-conference nods, while Metz earned her second-straight second-team selection and Hanley garnered her first selection.
