GAME NOTES

This was the first recorded matchup between the Spartans and the Chargers … the York offense stayed hot as they scored over 70 points for the third straight game and are now 4-0 when topping the 70-point mark … the Spartans were on fire from deep as they made 15 three-pointers which was a season high and just the third time this year they have made double digits … the 15 three-pointers is the second highest made in a single game in school history coming just two short of the all-time record of 17 that came back on December 3, 2003 against Gallaudet … the 34 three-point attempts is tied for the school record with games against Rowan (11/17/09) and Franklin & Marshall (11/22/14) … York also set a season high with 21 assists in the win … the Spartan defense was tough all day too as they allowed only 45 points, the lowest this season … Victoria Varner hit a career high five three-pointers on her way to a career high 15 points … Kayla Ferris was a key distributor as she recorded a career high eight assists … Ferris also scored in double figures for her sixth straight contest …Katie McGowan stayed hot on the offensive end as well putting up double figure points for the third straight game and seventh this season … Meghan Carlson grabbed a career high 11 rebounds for the Green and White … Alana Bortner also continued to provide good outside shooting for the Spartans as she hit three deep balls off the bench, a new career high as well as scoring a career best nine points … York has been tough on the road and is now 3-1 away from York this season.
