NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending September 6, 2026. Spartan junior Ava Johnsen was named Female MAC Golfer of the Week.

Johnsen led York at the competitive Lynn Schweizer Invitational, hosted by Denison University at Denison Golf Club, finishing 21st overall out of a deep field with a two-round total of 161 (+16). She posted a team-high two birdies on the week and carded the low round of the weekend for York with a 75 in round one.

The Spartans will continue the start to their season on Sunday, playing in the Toftrees Invitational.
